Funny about TV shows: nobody closes a door they have walked through, not even outside ones.
Just like nobody finishes a drink. The come in, they are offered a coffee say, they get it supernaturally quickly, they say their bit, and they leave without having touched, much less finished their coffee.

People close doors on TV shows all the time, at least outside doors.
Coffee offered is usually the stuff in a drip coffee maker and probably has been sitting around for hours - maybe that's why they don't drink it.
I've also noticed that on sitcoms letters are usually unsealed.
In Star Trek, the doors close themselves. :D

I've noticed the door thang a lot on TV. I don't know why it bothers me, but it does.
Probably because it's so alien. Little things like this make the hollywood illusion fall to pieces when they happen often enough.
