Self-published books on Lulu to be available on iPad

Self-published books on Lulu to be available on iPad, article.
And more importantly, on Apple iBook store! If it's that easy, this is great news. It's not tough to publish on Lulu, I have done it. (Alternative link.)

I found it via a highly interesting site for writers, I found this article first, looking for pad writing tools.

Really? Still works for me, I get three search results.

Try here.

The alternate link works, cool.
One of your commenters has an "it's" that should be an "its".

The cover is way cool. Nice muted colors. You should provide a sample of the interior of the book too. Books with a preview sell more.

Thanks, I designed it meself.
I'm proud of the selection of the picture, the girl could easily be Meta, and it's fully nude without showing anything.

There is a preview. Click on Preview under the picture, and then the arrows at the top.

Actually I was clicking on the pdf download version and there is only a giant sized version of the cover. Now I have seen the interiors-- why do you have chapters starting at the end of the page? Is it deliberate (bad typography IMHO) or just the lulu preview messing up with your formatting?

Because an inexperienced guy (me) formatted it and made the PDF.

If you ever want to update it (maybe adding some nice BW photos in the inside), just email the text to me and I'll give it a go in Indesign. I'm not terribly good at layout myself but I am getting better.

Thanks, very kind of you. I might do that.

I wonder if they can print photos inside the books?

They print whatever is in the pdf.

The paper they use is not that conductive to good photo printing and you can't do a book with some pages only in color -- all must be either BW or color. It's a fully automated process.

Eolake: Thanks for the intro to Lulu. I am halfway to finishing a book and this seems like another good option for getting published (surprised that I have never come across Lulu before in previous searches).
