Critic turns waitress for a week

Critic turns waitress for a week, article.
"But then there are all sorts of niceties I never could have imagined. When directing customers to the restrooms, for example, it's best not to point. Patrick recalls a woman who once took umbrage to this indelicate gesture. “I don't want everyone to know I'm going to the bathroom!” she hissed."

Reminds me of my aunt Marie. All her life, she claimed -and taught her siblings- that "Proper people [like moi] do not fart".
Until one day, with her seven brothers and sisters all present as witnesses, she paid a blasting tribute to that Law of Nature.
In the immortal words of my uncle that day: "Hear ye, hear ye! Let it be known throughout the world, and for the enlightenment of future generations, that on June 26th, 1964, at precisely 14 minutes past 3PM, Marie DID fart!!!"
It is now engraved in our family's chronicles, of which I am the official keeper. Aye, this I am!

I should introduce her to my pen pal Josie. I'm sure they would get along great. :o)
