Orange Leica

Speaking as one who once owned an orange iMac (back when they were CRT), I don't have anything against the color. But to be honest I think combining it with with a Leica M7 is a mis-step. For one thing thing it clashes, for another thing it breaks one of the primary strengths of the Leica: the unobtrusiveness.

Most of them will remain in their boxes, unopened and vacuum sealed, sitting in a closet somewhere in Asia

Silly it may seem, but great for Leica, and great for us, for it subsidises development of excellent cameras like the M9 and the X1.

I'll have to agree; it's fugly.

And carrying one of these around will make it that much more a target to be stolen by some rapper-wannabe wearing a pink hat, blue shoes, and concealing a .45 in his pocket.

Soooo...an orange Pentax WS80 is OK, but not a Leica? ;-p

Furthermore, I disagree with your comment about the lack on inconspicuousness of this M7. Nobody will notice the camera while they're running away clutching at their bleeding eyes, having stared at the orange trim for too long (over 0.02s).
