French adage

Pascal taught this pithy and truthful French adage:

La critique est aisée, l'art est difficile
(criticism is easy, art is difficult)

Since you think almost anything is art, art is easy. By your standards it can also suck and still be art. So even easier.

1. ... almost anything is art

I would go further: ANYTHING can be art - it's a personal choice.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ..." the art of life.

If anything sucks you, take the responsibility about it.

2. criticism is easy, art is difficult

In a way that's true, but for any profound truth the contrary is also true.

I would like to say it more poetically:

To make a closed fist to punch something or somebody needs a lot of your energy.

To relax and to open the hand to receive something or somebody is much easier.

Here's another famous French saying:

Neeraj is a moron.

Neeraj is a moron.

Yes! Of course! Great insight.

Everybody is a psychotic until he gets finally enlightened. And I don't claim that.

I mean that really seriously, but not judging in any way. And it's not only French, it's universal.

BTW I prefer to open my hand, because I'm lazy ...

Neeraj,

Seems to me you are pretty far on that path.

You refuse to fight!?!? Why, you no-good, commie, hippie, drug-promoting, long-haired lazy faggot! People like you oughta be thrown in the army and straight into battle, show them what it means to be a man!
When Jesus comes back, he's gonna kick your ass!

Hm... I still like smoochies for my ego - so, who knows?

You refuse to fight!?!?

Oh yes... if possible better turn it into a play ;-) If not, then not. (I think I've learned that from Tai Chi.)

I have to correct something:

- I WAS in the army... but it was long ago, and seemingly to no avail :-)

- I'm short-haired, er, crewcut... but maybe my aura is long-haired, I don't know ;-)

For the rest I have to ask Jesus when he rolls along. My address: Madhouse Earth ;-)

A.k.a. "Teegeeack" in Scientology speak. They say it's the old name for the planet. And that's been used for millions of years as a dumping ground for spirits who did not fit in, either for being too brilliant or being too extremely criminal, even for the generally super-corrupt Markab Confederacy "civilization" the planet used to be part of.

... I dunno, it would explain a lot! :-)

Aha, thanks for the info ... so many things I don't know. I will change the address label on my door ;-)

Here's the thing, Neeraj, it's an accurate observation. You ramble on saying nothing, but think you're giving us valuable insights. You're at least a bore if not a moron, but probably both.
