Airventure 2009

Tommy found this fun video of an airshow with all kinds of airplanes, including some of the biggest and smallest in the world (I'm not kidding).
Watch it in HD on youtube. (Note: the music is loud.)

(The page I got was this one, but when one sees an embedded video, it is often available in HD if one clicks on the youtube logo.)

I'm not an airplane buff, but I could see myself going to this show.

Ya know EO, I would have pegged you as being into airplanes. Don't know why, but I would have.

Well, they are cool machines, and as a kid I did buy some special collectors' thin picture books about aviation history.
(Those were a good product. They had little paper models of WWI planes you could assemble, which glided well.)

SO COOL!! THANKS to you BOTH for sharing this!! LOVE it (and don't get me started, again! lol!)

Yes...wouldn't it have been so much nicer had they just gotten recordings of the sound of the planes?! Sheesh!!

I am not, either, but I LOVE to go and look at them and imagine what it would have been like to have flown them. Watching them fly is a definite RUSH, too!

I went to a show, once, where they were offering rides on an old fighter for $400.00/each(!!) and a kid walked out of that w/his dad!! Lucky kid!!

Thanks for posting this! That's a whole lot of different aircraft for one air show. Where was it held, do you know?

Oshkosh, I think it's Minnesota.
See here.
