"A Leica Won't Improve Your Photography"

A Leica Won't Improve Your Photography, article.
The other side of the coin. Good for me to read, at least. Compared to an SLR (which is much cheaper), there are several significant downsides to a rangefinder camera that are not immediately obvious. And the article is not from a Leica-hater, either, the writer owns a lot of Leica equipment.
Also, take note of the long comment under the article by David Dyer-Bennet, he knows what he's talking about.

Update: M Reichman has a first-hand impression of the M9.

The Leica M9 looks like a fabulous piece of equipment. Having shot with and being very familiar with M3s, I can't wait to get my hands on the 9.

At first glance, the only design aspect I would modify is placing the trademark tilted rewind crank on the top left of the camera anyway - just for tradition's sake. (huge grin)

Haha. As if it isn't already retro enough. But yeah, you could have it control the ISO.

And a tilted self-timer on front. (I forget which models had that.)
