The Millau Viaduct

The Millau Viaduct. Pretty impressive.
It is part of the new E11 expressway connecting Paris and Barcelona and features the highest bridge piers ever constructed.

I guess this is what a country can do when it's not spending all its money in Iraq and Afghanistan, or bailing out greedy banks, or failing car companies. I am really quite impressed with what France has done. Good for them. Viva la France, or something like that.

Built by the French, designed by the British.

My parents had a picnic next to one of these piers.
Blasted thing's higher than the sacrebleu Eiffel Tower!

Bruce,
I could correct you, but say this in France and rest assured you'll instantly become the popular tourist archetype. You don't NEED any help.
When you get back, do tell us about all the girls that clung to your neck. :-)

Joe,
I'm pretty sure that's a gross exaggeration.
Of course, you can always hurry to edit the Wikipedia article, and then tell me to read it as proff of what you said. ;-)
But remember : I'm a registered Wiki User. Means I gotsa conneckshuns, see? Yeah.
And my cousins, Mario and Luigi, they-a are in the Plumbers' Union, see?
