Kings Firecrackers

Joe pointed to the Kings Firecrackers, girls jump-rope show, video.
That's gotta take some practice!
It's gotta be a big prestige thing at their school, for them all to work so hard. Apart from he fun and artistry of it, of course.

The Firecrackers have a blog.
Here's a good newspaper article about them.

Jumping rope on your knees... man, that's a game for the young!

Even when I was young and in my prime, I couldn't do that!!!

Hell no, me neither.

I am sure these girls got a greater response from the fans at the ball game than the teams on the floor. Just when you thought it was finished, they went into a more complicated routine.

Good to see the desire and motivation to achieve near perfection in the performance from these young girls.

Got to love it.

Yeah, I'm not even that old, but jumping on my knees is something even I cringe at, though they only do it for a couple of jumps during the routine.

Definitely a well done performance and understandable that they get more applause than the home team. Also from reading the article it's a marvelous idea helping to organize these girls to have fun and achieve especially when they are at an age when many young ladies first get self esteem issues that sometimes last a lifetime.

Yes, I have no doubt that for most of them, it's a godsent for their mental development.
