Eyes of Nostradamus

I just purchased The Best of Manfred Mann's Earth Band. I'm surprised that Eyes Of Nostradamus is not on it, it's my favorite of his. Very catchy song, and yet very avant garde.

In fact, while their early work is nice, I prefer the much richer and more disciplined sound of Somewhere In Africa.

What a silly link, no previews. We all know Manfred Mann, and we all know Manfred Manns Earth Band, but outside Pretty Flamingo, Blinded by the Light and Mighty Quinn, what do most of us know?

Also the link had the cheek to install iTunes on my machine. iTunes is a silly bit of software which, last time I tried it, converted all my WMA and MP3 files into a format my phone couldn't use, and chomped up heaps of my hard drive by doubling the number of music files I had.

Now Amazon usually do better, but today they only link to a 12" album.

iTunes store does have previews, just double-click a song.

By default, iTunes copies file, which I use, since it has a handy organizing scheme. It can be turned off in the Advanced tab of the settings, though.
