Online music store now the biggest

iTunes music store has just surpassed Wal-Mart and become the number one music store in the US. If anybody is still doubting if the Internet is more than a fad...

Audio CD is dead. And interestingly, vinyl has outlived it.

As for vinyl...
The sound which comes from vinyl is said to be somewhat "warmer" than that from CD or MP3, which sounds crispier. Some people prefer the warmer sound and love to watch the spinning turntable.

The same is true for film and digital imaging; I suppose we'll still be able to buy film for a long time - not me, though, I've made the switch to digital. It's so much more convenient. And cheaper in the end.

Yes, MP3 etc might slowly kill CD. MP3 is much more practical. You can carry a whole music library with you on a small stick.

I'm transfering my best CD songs to MP3. No more fuss.

Dankeschoen.
