How NSA access was built into Windows

[Thanks to TM]

How NSA access was built into Windows. Article.
"Careless mistake reveals subversion of Windows by NSA.
A CARELESS mistake by Microsoft programmers has revealed that special access codes prepared by the US National Security Agency have been secretly built into Windows. The NSA access system is built into every version of the Windows operating system now in use, except early releases of Windows 95 (and its predecessors)."

I don't know about what to believe. I don't see this in any big media outlets, but that could be just because it's too new yet.
Update: Ooops, no that can't be it, I see now that the article is apparently from 1999!

There are many things you don't see in the big media outlets. And half of what you see there are just cover ups to something the powers that be are not telling us but are afraid you will find out on your own, hence the disinformation.

An NSA trapdoor in Windows is not such a big deal however, given that by law they have access to everything stored by Google, Yahoo! and others.

Also, while many firewall boxes also have an NSA trapdoor, there are European made ones and open source ones that don't have it.

The most important thing is to not use an off-site web-based e-mail service that is hosted in the U.S. For example, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.

You want your e-mail out of the U.S. Even then, they still monitor the cable, so they will scan any e-mail originating from the U.S. But in most cases they can't do it for e-mail with a non-US origin.

NSA & other similar outfits have back doors in a lot of things, but it is mostly hype and such.

It is impossible to monitor all of the electronic mail sent in the US, except perhaps by cursory scanning for keywords, and even then.

On the other hand, one would be foolish to doubt that any major US corporation like Microsoft and Google would do anything to protect your data from the government. For example, the very concept of public mail servers can only work on the assumption that you have nothing to hide. Also, back doors are useful to them only once you have become a target, and the best way to avoid that is not to be a US resident, and to be a decent person in the first place.

And, to show how much I care about the US NAZIS intercepting this post, I will add "may ALLAH shove a BOMB up every spook's ASS". ;-)
